ABOUT APEX

For the love
of the detail.

An independent automotive journal for car lovers, exploring exceptional cars and the ideas behind them.

What we cover

APEX explores luxury cars, historic sports cars and supercars through model histories, design studies and original essays. Our interest is in the whole idea: what a car was built to do, how its package works and why its shape stays in the memory.

The Icons Issue includes Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Miura, Porsche Carrera GT, Bugatti Veyron, Bentley Continental GT, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Aston Martin DB5 and McLaren F1 profiles.

Facts and interpretation

Model histories and specification panels link to manufacturer archives and other clearly identified reference material. We distinguish model generations and variants instead of combining their specifications. Historical figures are not current buying advice or valuations.

Our design commentary is editorial interpretation. These articles are not first-hand road tests, vehicle inspections or reports of personal ownership. A photograph of a car does not establish its originality or condition.

Real photography

Every car image in this edition is a real photograph, reproduced under the licence listed alongside it. There are no AI-generated car images. The photographs remain the work of their named creators and do not imply their endorsement of the journal.

Images may be displayed cropped to fit cards or the cover. Full-frame images appear in the photography collection. See the credits page for source files, authors and licence links.

Independent by design

APEX is a portfolio editorial project, not a manufacturer, dealer or vehicle marketplace. Brand and model names identify the subjects of the articles. We do not claim official affiliation, sell the featured cars or collect enquiries for their owners.

The journal does not use newsletter forms, advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Its purpose is straightforward: give readers a thoughtful place to explore cars.
